Presented by Atlanta Mahjong Players, the Dunwoody Mahjong League is kicking off its first-ever season this fall. This is a fast-paced, 6-week competition for players who know the NMJL card and can play with confidence. Designed for those who love the game of Mahjong and a bit of friendly rivalry, this league brings high-energy competition every week. With exciting prizes like Oh My Mahjong tiles and mats for top scorers, it’s the perfect way to sharpen your skills, have some fun, and meet your match.

We’re offering two 6-week sessions to choose from, so you can pick the one that works best for you.

League Rules

1. NMJL Rules apply – All players must know the rules
2. No Blanks will be used
3. 8 Jokers per set
4. 4 official games per session (additional games allowed but won’t count)
5. Rotating Tables weekly for a fun, social atmosphere

Additional Info:

  • Players must play independently using the NMJL card

  • No lessons or guided play provided

  • If you can’t attend, give 48 hours notice so we can find a sub

Scoring

  • Mahjong: Value from NMJL Card

  • Joker-Free Hand: +10 points

  • Self-Picked Mahjong: +10 points

  • Wall Game: All players receive +10 points

  • Threw the Winning Tile: -10 points
